• Automatically detect meets happening near you for quick access to live scoring

• Location coordinates are sent to our servers only for distance calculations

• You can deny location permission and still use all core features of the app

2. Favorite Gymnast Data (Local Storage)

What We Store: When you favorite a gymnast, we store locally on your device:

• Gymnast ID, name, team, and competitive level
• Meet IDs associated with favorited gymnasts
• Score data for caching and notification purposes

How We Use It:

• Display your favorite gymnasts quickly without repeated server requests
• Check for new scores and meets for your favorite gymnasts
• Provide notifications when new scores are posted (if you enable notifications)

Data Retention:

• Cached score and meet data is stored while the gymnast remains in your favorites
• When you unfavorite a gymnast, all associated cached data is promptly deleted from your device
• No favorite gymnast data is transmitted to third-party services

3. Diagnostic Logs (Local Storage)

What We Collect: Application logs may contain:

• Gymnast names and scores you've viewed
• Meet names and IDs you've accessed
• Your location coordinates (if location services are enabled)
• Error messages and app performance data

How We Use It:

• Diagnose technical issues and crashes
• Improve app performance and user experience

Important:

• Logs are stored only on your device (not transmitted automatically)
• Logs are automatically purged when you reopen the app (new session overwrites previous logs)
• You can manually access logs via the iOS Files app if needed
• Logs are only shared if you explicitly choose to send them to developers for troubleshooting

4. Data From Public API

All gymnastics scores, meet information, gymnast profiles, and club data are retrieved from the public Meet Scores Online API (meetscoresonline.com). This data is:

• Publicly available competition results
• Not personal information collected by our app
• Retrieved in real-time from the API (not stored permanently by our app)

Information We Do NOT Collect

• User accounts or authentication credentials - The app does not require login
• Payment information - The app is free with no in-app purchases

• Location: You can revoke location permission in iOS Settings → Meet Scores Online → Location
• Notifications: You can disable notifications in iOS Settings → Meet Scores Online → Notifications
• Logs: Diagnostic logs are automatically purged on each app restart

Data Deletion

• Unfavorite Gymnasts: All cached data for that gymnast is immediately deleted from your device
• Uninstall App: All data is permanently removed from your device
• Clear App Data: iOS Settings → Meet Scores Online → Reset (removes all local data)

Children's Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Gymnastics competition results displayed in the app are public records from sanctioned meets. Parents/guardians should supervise children's use of the app and can control location and notification permissions through iOS parental controls.

Data Security

• All data stored on your device uses iOS built-in encryption and sandboxing
• API communications use HTTPS encryption
• No sensitive personal information is collected that would require additional security measures
• Local database (SQLite) is protected by iOS app sandbox (not accessible to other apps)
